This is the DMCA Policy of AmericanTransexuals.com. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This policy outlines the procedures we follow in response to claims of copyright infringement on our website.

Notification of Infringement

Notification of Infringement: If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and is accessible on our website in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please send a notification to our designated DMCA Agent through our Contact Us page. The notification should include the following information:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material;
  4. Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address;
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Once we receive a valid DMCA notice, we will take reasonable steps to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.

Counter Notifications

Counter Notification: If you believe that your content was wrongly removed or disabled as a result of a DMCA notification, you may send a counter-notification to our designated DMCA Agent through our Contact Us page. The counter-notification should include the following information:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled;
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material;
  4. Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address;
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which the website may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant and will reinstate the removed material within ten to fourteen business days, unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the alleged infringer.

Please note that under the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages.
